Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.

Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe,
Help to make the season bright.
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow,
Will find it hard to sleep tonight.

They know that Santa's on his way;
He's loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh.
And every mother's child is going to spy,
To see if reindeer really know how to fly.

And so I'm offering this simple phrase,
To kids from one to ninety-two,

Estava a ver o snooker na tv e a fazer um esboço quando o meu vizinho do lado me veio bater à porta. Quando ele saiu, de cor, fiz um esboço dele.


I was seing snooker at the tv and doing a doodle when the guy next door come to ask for something. When he left I drew his sketch.

Aceitei o desafio da Karen Winters e escolhi da minha colecção de canecas não a que gosto mais, como ela me tinha sugerido, mas uma que acho caricata e com um lado trocista. Pedindo desculpa por não estar à altura do desafio aqui vai a minha caneca.

Accepting the challenge that Karen Winters put on me I've choosen among my mug's collection one, not my favorite as she had asked me, but one I think it's funny. I apologise for not being up to the standard of the challenge but here is the mug.

Dos cadernos de viagens # 7

Uma incursão à Suiça quando estava no Lago de Lugano mas na parte italiana. Já tinha estado em Lugano - uma cidade sobre o lago e as montanhas - com belíssimas galerias de pintura. Um dia voltei para conhecer o lago na parte suíça. Um passeio de barco com paragem em algumas ilhas. Aqui, em Melide, ficámos perto de 2,5 h o que deu para, embora rapidamente, registar as belezas do lago e dum estupendo dia de sol.


Melide is a little island on the Lake of Lugano. I was in the Italian part of the Lake but some days I went to Switzerland. The town of Lugano is a charming place over the river and full of painting galeries. One day I went on a boat trip to discover the Swiss part of the Lake. We land in some island, one of them Melide where we stay over 2,5h and I profit the occasion to do a rapid sketch of this gorgeous sunshining day.
